Estimates only
Every result is an estimate based on the inputs you provide and the assumptions stated on the page. Products, jobs and site conditions vary. Check quantities with your supplier before ordering, and allow for waste and mistakes.
Codes and safety
Where a calculator refers to a building, electrical, plumbing or energy code, it cites a specific model code edition. Your jurisdiction may use a different edition or local amendments. Code checks on this site are a first pass, not an approval. Confirm requirements with your local building department, and use a licensed professional and the required permits for structural, electrical, plumbing and gas work.
No warranty
The site and its content are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. We work hard to keep the calculators correct, as described on the methodology page, and we publish corrections in the changelog, but errors can happen.
